Two firms, Houston-based Cloverleaf Infrastructure and Atlanta-based Beltline Energy, both proposed AI campuses around the Mathewson Substation in Piedmont, Oklahoma, after Southwest Power Pool finished a $72 million, 345-kV line into it.
Separately, Cloverleaf Infrastructure, staffed with Pattern Energy, ConnectGen, and Microsoft alumni, raised $300 million from NGP and Sandbrook Capital in 2024 and is reportedly fielding acquisition interest.
